Here is my project that I took on not even thinking where it would end up. I bought Tom VanEtten L3 project. It consisted of 2-6 inch by 48 inch G10 fiber glass tubes and a 4 inch G10 motor tube, couplers and a small section a G10 airframe, G10 Fins, centering rings and bulk plates, a Curtis Turner nose cone, Aero Pac motor retainer. I finally began construction on it after buying Tom's Goo Gun which he bought from Hawk Mountain. It worked great! The construction is straight forward and it went together pretty nice. The paint job is being done by Neil Anderson. I did some sanding on the airframes and filets. Then, Neil sprayed the rocket with Systems 3 epoxy and it had to sit for 4 days or so. Neil sanded the fin-can some and it sanded out really nice. Neil is going to bolt the whole airframe together to finish sanding the airframe so it will all be sanded evenly. I will be posting pictures of the construction and painting on here soon. I would also like to thank Mike Fisher for making the decals for this project at cost. Neil Anderson for painting the rocket, Angela Innes for coming up with the best name for the project, Patrick Waite for the extra Centering Rings and Bulk Plates he made for it, Ralph Wheeler for the loan of the Rouse Tech ejection system to be used in the project. This project may have not been possible without the help from other Rocketeers. I will post more on this later. I am planning on flying this at FITS 2006. Scott Harrison of West Coast Hybrid has donated a motor to fly Dreams in Flight Thank you Scott!!! Be sure to check out the construction pictures. Tom receiving his L3 from Tripoli
